We leave early from Cuenca to the West and enter Cajas National Park.
We start the tour in the Tres Cruces sector. Trekking following the route of the Black – Long – Togllacocha
– Luspa lagoons. We will have time to taste our Box Lunch. After this we continue to “Canutillos”.
Interpretation of the area and teamwork for the installation of the camp begins.

Hot breakfast. We will have a couple of hours to walk around and admire the natural resources that are very attractive especially for the panoramic view of the sector. Cooperating with our guide we raise our camp, get ready and continue with the trek to the Mamamag lagoon, where there is a lush forest and you can see a variety of birds and plants such as: pumamaquis, chuquiragua, moss, huicundos, ferns, great variety of orchids, etc.
We can also witness the presence of pre-colonial cultures passing through the Camino Real del Inca. We will have our box lunch along the way. Finally, we will arrive at Llaviuco where we will be able to unload the backpacks in the transport and make a short tour observing birds. Llaviuco is considered the best place in the National Park for bird watching. This montane forest is in an excellent state of conservation,
allowing you to easily find very striking species such as the Andean Toucan Pechigris, the Andean Pava, the Masked Trogon, the Turquoise Magpie and several species of colorful tangaras. The twelve species of hummingbirds registered in the area are a sample of the high diversity that this group of birds achieves in montane ecosystems, and among these the Frentiestrella Arcoiris, the Rayito Brillante and the Pico
Espada stand out.
Return to the city of Cuenca.
