The day begins at 6:30 AM at the meeting point at the corner of Foch and Juan León Mera streets). We travel west through the beautiful cloud forest to the river banks. The trip will last approximately 3 hours.
Before going to the river, we will provide you with life jackets and helmets, we will give you a safety talk and we will train each crew in the rowing techniques necessary to navigate the river. Once in the river, you can expect both the action of exciting white water and the tranquility of moving silently through the rain forests. So while you are guaranteed to get wet, you will also have the opportunity to be absorbed by the sounds of the forest and see wildlife up close from our mobile “observation deck”.
Approximate rafting time is 4 hours. During the trip, we will stop by the river to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch that includes fresh tropical fruits and served with soft drinks, juice and water. At the end of the trip, we celebrated a fun day on the river with some cold beers and returned to Quito at 7:00 PM, to the same meeting point.
